Coming from owning two CrossFit gyms in Dublin for over a decade, I understand the struggles it is to be successful in this space, the never ending bill and pressure to be successful. This is where I came up with the idea of Wunderbook, a FREE booking platform that actually adds value back to its community.
I understood early, that the business would not be successful without a booking system and there are a number of them out there, some better than others but all selling you something and normally when they get that sale, they forget and move onto the next one.
Even with a booking system that promised to reduce the admin and connect me with more clients, I was always still left chasing card payments, which for me was the worst part of the business. I loved what I did but hated asking for money for anything, even tho I valued what I did so much, was the worst. Also the promise of growth just simply didn’t exist.
These were some of the basic problem we sought to solve with Wunderbook.
We came up with a simple user focused booking system, where everyone is on one platform and we have a no pay, no book policy, so you never have to chase a payment again. This way users and companies, can benefit from the network effect of our amazing, constantly growing community. The companies have way less admin, simple post your schedule and memberships, share it and focus on your amazing classes.
So, why user focused and not the companies? Well the users are the ones who pay a small 2% booking fee and this way we can save the companies a tone of money and align our goals with theirs. We want to work with all our companies to help them improve their service and offerings. Working on best practices, ways to increase their community and reach and anything that can help them be successful.
